Why? For starters security professionals (all over the world) consider "10" to be outright UNSAFE, because it DOES spy on your machine. Then I manually removed the USB-BT400 ASUS BlueTooth dongle (again), and then unpluged it and pluged it back in.and let the IS find my devices.Īfter that the mouse has worked (so far).Īnd no I am not *EVER* going to just update to WIN10. I had to manually renameĬ:\Windows\System32\drivers\bcbtums_OLDER.sysĪnd copy the NEWEST version of this file into the directory myself (naughty naughty Microsoft). I had the cab but WIN7 Pro64 *insisted* that everything was up to date (when by the driver versions and dates it is DEFINITELY not). Simply using the "right click" and select "update driver" told me everything was great (it was not). The update to my USB-BT400 ASUS BlueTooth said otherwise.Ī very real OS *BUG* was preventing my USB-BT400 ASUS BlueTooth dongle from getting the new diver to update.
BLUETOOTH PERIPHERAL DEVICE BTHENUM DRIVERS
I followed the instructions, installing "Windows Mobile Device Center on Win 7", and making sure my drivers were up to date. I had the same issues as everyone else here.

So obviously something got messed up in my Win 7. I also tried to connect the mouse to another computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine.

For about two week my Gigabyte M7700B bluetooth mouse was working normally, but then after waking up the computer from hibernation the mouse wasn't responding.
